Issue with Being Charged for Overages on Data
Hi, I was having an issue through the month of December and January where I was seeing abnormally high data usage, especially given I was out of town for a chunk of the time. I typically use somewhere around 200-400 GBs of data a month, but for those month's, it rose to well over 1 TB. I noticed I had unusual activity on my router, and realized a neighbor had been using my internet without my knowledge, and apparently downloading significant amounts of data. I've since strengthened the security of my router, changed usernames/passwords, monitor the traffic daily, etc. My data usage has returned to normal since then. However, now I'm stuck with a bill being charged an additional $30 for the month that I can't really afford.
Is possible to get one additional grace month and wave these charges? I've been an Xfinity customer for years and have never been late on payments or had issues with data usage. I tried going through Chat Support but I kept getting disconnected and then having to explain the whole situation again. I don't want to change plans and be put under a new contract either.
Thanks, I appreciate any help you can provide.
