Hello, user_cnm8c5 thank you for taking time out of your day to create a post. When it comes to phishing and scams, I would be concerned as well. Any email communication from Xfinity will have our logo attached to the email, where you can see that before opening.
Checking my phone logs, whenever I make payments I receive a follow up notification from: 934489. There was also a recent Comcast Emergency Broadcast Test notification I received from: 24639, which are legit communications.
If your concerned your account has been compromised here is a great document on our website that has a walk through on how to report to our awesome security assurance experts: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/phishing-scams.
I'd be happy to do an account review to check on the payment status, and check to see if we had sent out any recent communications. Since I will need to gather some information to locate your account, and we don't want that in our public conversation. When you have time, please send a direct message.
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message" icon in the upper right - it looks like a chat bubble
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon just to the right of Conversations
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line - do not use the Employee's name!
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name, the account holder name (if different), and the service address.
