Is my plan a 24-month contract or a No Term Agreement?
Hi,
I ordered service at an Xfinity store for a month from now, and I was assured that it's a No Term Agreement plan. Meaning, no Early Termination Fees since we're moving out of the country at some point in the next year. I double-checked under the Legal Agreements and Contracts section in my profile and I didn't see a contract - so far, so good.
I was talking to a chat employee about my start date and I thought I'd ask if I'm under contract or not: surprise surprise - they said I'm under a 24-month contract. Even though I had been assured I am not when signing up in the store.
Is there a way to figure out who is right and who is wrong? Am I under a 24-month contract I never consented to, or was the chat employee wrong and my plan is a "No term agreement" one?
Thank you,
Lazar

Hi there, @user_9b25ba. I can definitely check to see if a term agreement is attached to the offer for you.

Yeah, when you sign up they tell you that and when you cancel they will not say anything either but will stick you with a bill after so you can’t even do anything about it. Comcast is a corrupt corporation. I don’t understand why the employees are complicit in this corruption. I was a loyal customer for 25 years and earlier this year I decided to sever ties with this corrupt company because of their unfair practices. They never said anything about contracts, I explicitly asked them when I signed up if there was a contract and they said no. They told me that I could call after a few months and check if there were better deals and that’s why I even asked about a contract. At least the person who I spoke with when I canceled should have mentioned something but not a word. After I canceled I received a bill with a charge of $90. I trusted these people so I had left my credit card on the website. This is how they reward you for 25 years of loyalty. On top of this debacle, they also canceled my email account without a word even though I confirmed with them at the time of cancellation that, that would not happen. Comcast is not to be trusted.
