Is my bill for the previous month or the month ahead?
At the very top of your billing statement (well, at least this what mine shows) "Billing Date" is the date the bill was generated. Look for "Services From" followed by a start date and an end date. That's the period the bill covers. Then compare with the payment due date and you have your answer.
Great question, @Whereismyshow ! Xfinity bills for your regular monthly services in advance, so your statement generally covers the upcoming service period. Any one-time charges or adjustments may reflect previous activity. You can confirm the exact period by checking the “Service From” dates shown on your bill.

The concern is not "Channels And Programming" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section.
