Internet Overage Courtesy Month

Hello,

 

Earlier this month when I checked my data usage meter, it said that I had 1 courtesy month left to exceed my 1.2TB cap w/out penalty.  Checking today, it says I have been charged $30 for exceeding my data cap.  What happened to the courtesy month?  Does it say I am being charged but the charge will be removed from my bill at some later point?
