increased rates 2024

I have been a comcast customer for over twenty year - two weeks ago a verizon sales rep came to my door and offered me a deal on cable (same service that I have with comcast and $200 gift card and price lock for 5 years and a saving of over $100.00 per month) - I told him that i was going to contact Comcast to see what promotions they has - when I contact comcast they told me to call back in a week when new rates were out - I just ended a chat with you and was told there are no promotions and nothing you can do to match verizon price - my rate with Comcat is $316.00 - needless to say I will be contacting Verizon - this is ridiculous that verizon can offer such a savings for 5 years and Comcast just keeps raising their rates
