Increase in cost of internet which is part the regular monthly charges in my contract

I’m a very long term customer who is 6 months into a new 24 month contract. Currently paying a fixed rate for the Gigabit internet package as part of the Regular Monthly Charges of my contract. I was just notified that next month the cost of the Gigabit package is increasing by $4.00 per month even though it’s part of my active locked in contract that I agreed to. I was assured by the retention rep at the time of signing that while service fees and equipment fees can increase, Regular Monthly Charges are locked in for the length of the contract. Thanks very much.

Thank you very much for reaching out to us here @user_bba96d. I know that any increase in billing can be a frustrating experience. The package price on your service cannot change if you are in a term agreement, equipment, taxes and fees can change. I would be happy to take a look at any changes on your specific account from here for you. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

To send a direct message [private message]:

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it
