I was sent to collections from waypoint billing from years ago for an account that was paid off. Active Current customer.

I had a past due amount on my old account, I called Comcast years ago and paid it off.  The account was sent to Waypoint Resources for collections and they will not take this off my credit report.    Please help!  I had an 755 credit score last month.  Now it is a 635 and this account is killing me.

I was contacted by collections at the end of last month.     My credit score went down exponentially afterwards.          After searching on Reddit I’ve seen that this is something that hundreds of customers are dealing with.

Hello @user_5b81c1. I would be happy to review the old account, and see what is going on in regards to collections. 

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
