I was lied to by Comcast when signing up for internet.

I signed up for internet when I moved and I got the 500 mb plan. I was later contacted by comcast saying that my internet had a data limit. I contacted support and asked them about the 1000 mb internet plan. I asked about the price and if it had unlimited data and I was told yes by the employee online and I confirmed on the website. I asked to switch over to this plan instead of leaving and going to AT&T explicitly because I was told by comcast that it had unlimited data. I received a call from comcast again saying that I was halfway to my data limit. I explained everything to the employee and they said that I don't have unlimited data. Why is comcast scamming me? Why do I have proof that I signed up for unlimited data and I still don't have it?
