I want to dispute a service installation charge
I received a bill in the mail for $100 today. This was a huge shock to me, as I had no idea I had even incurred this fee.
I had called prior to have a modem sent to my new apartment, but one never arrived. After a few days, I made the trip to an Xfinity store where I picked one up. I came home, and set it up successfully.
Then, one day, the modem suddenly stopped working. I called Xfinity customer service, and they attempted to fix it. In the end, they said they would need to send a technician. Nowhere in this conversation was a $100 installation fee ever mentioned. I would have remembered, this is a lot of money for a college student!!
I am extremely frustrated that I am being billed for a problem resulting from Xfinity's modem and lack of customer support communication. I am writing to formally dispute the $100 installation fee, which was a) Xfinity's faulty equipment and b) I was not informed of.

Hello @user_34gccf, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.

OMG! Same problem here! No way to speak with a live agent in chat or phone! I was told by the technician that there would be no charge, and he showed me his little device that stated "No charge to customer" Xfinity forces you to pay this $100. I want to dispute it of course there is nowhere to do so.
