I need help cancelling service and stop billing me
I moved out of an apartment and cancelled my cable and internet service effective 5/31/2025. I returned my equipment to a retail store on 5/31/2025. I am paid up on my bill through June 2, 2025. I then received a bill for June 2025 services which makes no sense since my service was cancelled effective 5/31/2025. I have had multiple chat sessions and several phone calls about this with Comcast and I get a different story every time. As it now, Comcast tells me that I have to pay the June services bill and then wait for a refund, This makes no sense, I should receive a small credit since I cancelled service prior to the end of a payment cycle. PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I am an older disabled person and this is causing my undue stress and aggravation. Trying to call Comcast and re-explaining my situation every time is at least a one hour commitment and the request I made go completely ignored.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I do apologize if our billing process was not explained to you, since we do bill a month in advance depending on the date when you cancelled and when your actual billing date is you most likely were already billed for the month in advance prior to canceling. So what generally happens within two to three weeks of when you cancel the service you receive a final readjusted bill for the dates of service you had. If you're on auto pay and you're billed for the dates of service after you cancelled service, that final readjusted bill will show the refund amount that's due to you and then generally within the next two weeks after the final readjusted bill is received you will receive a refund for the dates you were billed for that you did not have service. That refund goes back to the last payment method used within 30 days of when you put it in the cancellation request. This link has great information on what to expect when xfinity owes you a refund https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/refunds-from-xfinity
You should still have access to the Xfinity app to see your billing statements which on the top page will show your bill date, that will give you an idea of when that bill was processed, sp the next bill you get will prorate and adjust. So if you cancel service effective of may 31st in the next week or so you should get a final readjusted bill to show the amount of your refund.
If you need further assistance I'll be happy to pull up your account and go over the specifics and set the proper expectations for you. So please go ahead and send me a direct message including your first and last name and your complete service address
