I have an internet only account, why do I have to agree to have my payment method stored?

For almost 4 years now I've been able to pay for my internet only Xfinity account without needing to store my payment information. Now, there's apparently no way to pay without accepting a Terms and Conditions policy that is also combined with Store Payment check box. Um, I don't have Xfinity Mobile, where payment storage makes sense, just internet, so what gives? Am I now required to store my card information on Xfinity's servers? That is not happening as there's no way you can guarantee my card information won't be exposed in case of a system breach.

I hope this is some kind of web-page glitch, but I suspect that it's not. Unfortunate, as it will absolutely result in the cancellation of my account. I can get fiber at my home in under 3 weeks.

Fingers crossed for some kind of resolution.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_04i7sz I can understand the frustration with storing a credit/debit card or bank account online. There was a new payment system placed recently for better security measures, but I do understand your concern and preference not to save these details.
