Huh? Regional Sports Fee increasing $5 a month? There is a pandemic. There are no sports!
With half of the college football and basketball games not being played...
And professional sports being played in empty stadiums, on shortened and awkward seasons...
Comcast raises the Regional Sports Fee $5 a month?
I am baffled/confused.
Right Right... We are paying the regional sports fee to have the channels, regardless of if games are played or not (Generic response that will be posted in response)

Sports are being played, despite the number of people in stadiums. And, while it's not fair to have to pay the fees at this time, nevermind getting an increase on them, sports channels are demanding the fees be generated at the higher price. It's not just Comcast having to pay them, either. And if Comcast has to pay, so do we. It's the nature of the beast, so to speak.
Personally, I think the fees are outrageously high, and I think some of it covers lost revenue to the franchises and player salaries because of the largely empty stadiums. Doesn't make it right, though. Everyone is hurting, so these mega-millions-salaried players could take a cut for a season or two with it affecting their banking accounts. Same with the owners. But hey, this is my personal opinion.

You claim that sports are being played, sure to an extent.
The NBA season was shortened, half of the teams did not go to "the bubble"
The MLB season was shortened.
College Basketball and Football have had THOUSANDS of games cancelled.
Also college athletes are not paid, so your notion that we are making up for their revenue losses does not make complete sense.
To raise these costs, during these times, under the above circumstances is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, games are still being played and broadcast regardless of how many have been canceled or how empty or filled the stadiums are.
