How to get internet cost down

Been with Xfinity for 24 years!  Going in for my second open heart surgery and need to get bills down. I have “fast” internet. This is advertised for $55. I pay 85. I was told by 2 different reps in chats that it was because I had internet and tv. Both told me that if I canceled tv service I could get the $55 price. I canceled tv and now they say they can not lower it. I saved both conversations

@XfinityLinda thanks. Unfortunately that was the service text people ( 2 different ones) that said if I canceled tv I could get internet dropped to 55. Wish I could post the chats here but don’t see an option

@kirkd No worries. It's not needed. I would be happy to assist via Direct Message, so we can dig into this a bit more.
