Horrible Customer Service/Billing experience

I had Xfinity when I lived in Illinois. I signed a contract in person at the Xfinity store and specifically asked the employee if I had to move out of state if I would be charged and she said no. I had to move to a part of Texas that does not have Xfinity service, so I was forced to go with another company. I am now being charged a $170 early termination fee. I have spoken with someone in customer service who could not change this, so she escalated it and the person she escalated it to said that billing refuses to remove the fee.  I also chatted with 3 live agents who all said they would take care of the fee.  I could understand if I lived somewhere that had the service and I chose to cancel, but I do not have the option to continue service. We do plan to move again in about a year and I can guarantee I will NEVER use Xfinity again. I will go with ANY other service!

user_h1ivwe Thank you for reaching out to us over our Xfinity Community Forum. Unfortunately, the Xfinity Term Agreement Early Termination Fees cannot be waved when customers move to an area that Comcast does not service. Xfinity's customers receive a special price or offer for agreeing to keep the service(s) for a certain period of time. If the original contract cannot be maintained at your new address, an ETF applies.
