Horrible Customer Service

I moved and canceled my service. Xfinity said they'd put my account on hold for 9 months with no charge so that when I need service again they'd offer me service with higher speeds and a cheaper rate for being a longtime loyal customer free of charge. Well that wasn't the case as I started getting a new charge from Xfinity after I canceled. Customer service steered me wrong. Now I've been trying to get refunded for the money I was wrongfully charged. I have spoken to customer service regarding this matter 3 different times now all while having to wait on hold for a total of an hour and a half on 3 calls. And the matter still isn't resolved. I hate how long it takes on the phone to resolve any matter. And now customer service tries to swindle you out of your Verizon phone plan to switch to Xfinity. I didn't call to switch my phone plan or even inquire about it but all of a sudden the subject matter changes to a sales pitch to try and get me to sign up for my cell service with Xfinity. Many of the staff are incoherent and not good at there job and often times being very difficult to understand as it's never someone in America. They have call centers with people speaking in deep foreign accents often making a language barrier between the 2. That also makes the conversations last longer. I give Xfinity 2 out of 5 stars for being deceiving, not having good customer service and for making me go through all these loopholes to try and get refunded even after having a customer service representative confirm that I would be refunded. That wasn't the case. I never asked for a credit. Why give me a credit when I canceled my service. Put the money back on the account that you wrongfully took it out of. Do better Xfinity!

_brand140 Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Community Forums! I do apologize for the experience you have encountered. This is definitely not the experience we want any of our members to have. I am quite puzzled why you were offered a seasonal convenience plan for 9 months when you mentioned you had moved. Were you planning on moving back to the original location you had Xfinity Services?

Your guess is as good as mine. I think the sales associate was trying to meet some monthly quota or something. I tried to cancel my service and instead got convinced to put my account on hold for when I move back to Thurston County.  I never asked to extend or put the account on hold. And then the conversation took a full turn when he started trying to get me to sign up for cellular service with Xfinity because he could see that I was with Verizon. The phone call should've been over in 15 minutes but after an hour of going around with him only to find out days later that I was still being charged left me very frustrated. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of time left on hold. Now I'm just trying to get my money back from where you guys pulled it from. I don't want or need a credit and was told I would be refunded. But that's not the case which is why I've taken time out of my day to leave Xfinity a review wherever I can. On here, on Google and with the Better business Business Bureau. Xfinity customer service is so awful and it's dreadful having to deal with any agents over the phone.
