Has anyone been able to apply with Xfinity for the EBB?
I keep getting error messages. I've tried calling and chatting, and they tell me the ONLY way is the Xfinity EDD step 3 button. Is my only answer to switch providers? The EBB discount is good at all my other options, but I'd hate to have to switch.

What are the determining factors that Comcast uses to set the actual EBB discount amount?

Guys, go ahead and call 855-846-8376, Internet Essential.
It is still the automated system, but it is easier to get through to an agent now.
I have filed a complaint with FCC some time ago an attached all our discussion to it as a proof
that I am not only one, that we all have a problem with Comcast to apply for EBB.
I did not hear anything from FCC and decided to go to my local small court to get the papers to
file a case against Comcast. It was the day before yesterday (08/11/21). Taking in consideration that
if I file and the case will develop the first question of the judge will be if I tried to call Comcast after I have
filed my response with FCC a decided to give the final call to Comcast prior to heading to the court.
The agent by the name Pablo brought my account and asked me if I tried to call before. My answer was that
it is a long story and I did it three or four times in the past. He said to me: the system shows an error, lets do it again.
We went through a lengthy procedure, I was suppose to confirm all the conditions and requirements of the program and
Pablo told me that in 48 hours I will get the approval. I started to laugh, but I have thanked him for the work he did.
It was no doubt in my mind that it was a monkey job as it was many times in the past. I was wrong.
I got the EBB approval this time.
[Edited: "Soliciation"], MOST LIKELY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESSES, WHICH CAME FROM MY FIGHTING WITH THEM ARE ON THEIR WATCH
AND YOU WILL BE ALL APPROVED FOR THE PROGRAM. BETTER LATTER THAN NEVER. BEST WISHES. AC

I have another question. I'll be applying for my SSA retirement benefits soon. As an example, if I decide to start the benefits in June will I need to reimburse Comcast the $50 EBB discount for the months of June, July, and August? My benefit will be higher than the EBB discount limit and that's why I'm asking.
Thanks
