Gateway charges

Hello, I have a question about how the charges for Gateways work. I recently changed my plan and I wanted a new Gateway since the one I already had seemed spotty and so that was an extra charge. However, I never got any notification of it getting shipped or anything like that and so it's like I'm just being charged extra for the Gateway I already have. Is there something I'm misunderstanding about the way charges for Gateways work?

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_a5fd24, Thank you for reaching out with your question about Gateways. You should only be charged for one. If we are shipping you a new modem, there could be a shipping fee, but as long as you return the old modem, you will only be charged for one modem. Also, the cost is the same no matter what modem you have. I hope this helps to answer your question.
