Fraudulently billed over $1,000 in additional charges over the last four months--will not refund, nor will Xfinity let me cancel services.
I made the mistake of trying to cancel services and change plans to save about a hundred dollars a month on August 11th. I called and signed up for a plan for $225 per month. My bill the following month was close to $650 per month--higher than before I called. I called and spent hours on the phone and on chats. I was told that the next month I would be charged the $225 and that the overcharge would be refunded. The next month I was charged approximately $600 per month. I called again and again I spent hours and hours on the phone and chats. Finally someone confirmed that the next month would be $225 and the overcharges for two months refunded. I was charged again $600 per month the following two months.
I called to cancel my services today and they now say that they cannot cancel my services. Not only will they not refund the over $1,000 in excess charges they put on my account (and kept claiming they would stop charging and refund), they now refuse to stop charging me even after I no longer want to do business with them at all. They will keep charging me over $600 per month for services I did not agree to and that they have admitted are charged in error.
I just spent over an hour in a chat and have, yet again, kept a record of how they transferred me to four different agents--disconnecting me when they understood that I was looking to resolve the issue. I can't believe how a company can admit charges are in error and then keep charging them. One agent tried to tell me that the problem was over 90 days--even though I have been calling wither regularity for months and they keep (after hours of holds and transfers) telling that it will be fixed on the next bill.
