Formal Billing Dispute – Recurring TV Box Rental Charges for Returned Equipment
Hello Xfinity Billing Escalations,
I am requesting a formal investigation and refund review regarding recurring monthly TV box rental charges on my account.
I returned a TV box several years ago, but I recently discovered that I continued to be billed monthly for that equipment. I have since returned my second TV box and changed my service to internet-only.
I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue through phone support, but I have been unable to reach someone who can investigate and correct the billing.
I am requesting that Xfinity:
- Review my historical equipment inventory, serial numbers, return records, and account changes.
- Determine why the rental charge continued after I returned the first TV box.
- Remove any remaining equipment rental charges from my account and confirm that my internet-only plan is correctly reflected.
- Calculate the total recurring rental charges associated with the previously returned equipment and issue a refund or retroactive billing adjustment for the full period possible.
- Escalate this matter to a billing supervisor and provide a written explanation if any portion of my request is denied.
I understand that standard billing dispute deadlines may apply. However, I am specifically requesting an exception and a review of the historical account records, given the length of time I was charged for equipment I had returned.
Please provide a case number and written confirmation of the investigation and its outcome.
Thank you.
