Flexible Payment Options

When I log into my account, I see Your bill is past due.  Flexible payment options can help.  Chat for options.  When I click on Chat for Options, I thought that would take me to the flexible payment options but it doesn't.  Please help.

Hello, @user_4dc035 - and thank you for using the self-service options to manage your Xfinity account. I'm proud to work for a company that understands life happens, and sometimes more time is needed to make a payment. I wanted to include the steps and details how you're able to set up an installment plan for a past due balance, and provide troubleshooting steps which may help. What is happening on your end when clicking chat for options? If you had not already, can you try restarting your device, clearing cache and cookies, trying using another web browser, and try accessing your Xfinity account from another device? Please let me know if any of these steps help. Here are step by step instructions how you can set up an installment plan for your past due balance, and all the details that come with.

  1. When you log in to your account and see a message about flexible payments, select Chat for options to launch Xfinity Assistant.
    • Note: Only qualifying customers will see this message.
  2. In your chat with Xfinity Assistant, select I’d like to see my payment options.
  3. To proceed with setting up an installment plan, select Installment plan.
  4. If you’re ready to move forward with making a $50 payment and setting up an installment plan, select I’d like to sign up, then Sign up.
  5. On the Installment plan page, select the minimum payment due, or enter a larger amount if you’d like. Don’t close the page.
Screenshot of the Installment plan page with two radio button options under the header Today's payment: Minimum due today and Pay another amount.

  6. Review the terms of your installment plan and choose your payment method for the minimum $50.00 payment required to enroll.
Screenshot of the Monthly installments page with the number of installments and information at the top and the payment method options below.

  7. Once you’ve reviewed your payment method and carefully read the terms of your installment plan, select Submit Payment to finish your enrollment.
Screenshot of the review page with the payment method details at the top, the installment plan information below and a Submit button on the lower right side.

  8. On the Payment Confirmed screen, you’ll see a confirmation of your installment plan.
    • We’ll also send you a confirmation email.
    • It could take up to three business days for your installment plan to appear on your account.
    • You can check the status and details of your installment plan any time by chatting with Xfinity Assistant.

When I click on Chat for Payment Options, it brings up an old payment arrangement from last year and then asks if I would like to change that payment arrangement.

@user_4dc035 - Got it, thank you for clarifying. If I understand correctly; you'll want to be sure to satisfy any existing installment plan, if you had not done so already. An existing installment plan would need to be taken care of before you can go ahead and set up a brand new one.

If that previous one is all done, and you're saying it's simply showing old info which had been satisfied - let's go ahead and be sure to clear cache and cookies on your device, and, also try another web browser which may help due to trick.
