Fire and equipment
So, my place caught fire 06/12. I called comcast to cut off the following week. I got a bill, so I called back at the end of June I was informed I still owed but billing is in advance, but whatever. Then I get another bill for August. I call and the lady was so helpful she said Xfinity should not have sent the Aug bill and owed me 1.5 months back. She created a ticket for my refund and a separate ticket, so I don't get charged for the equipment. The ticket for the equipment was denied within 24hr. The fire was a total loss. How does xfinity want to charge me for the equipment? Do I need to show proof of the fire. I have so much going on even 2 months later. Why would you deny the ticket for the equipment?

Greetings, @user_w1ph81! Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, and even more sorry this has not been taken care of yet, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
My own community has been ravaged by wildfires over the last two weeks, with countless friends and family members losing everything they had. The last thing you should have to deal with right now is an unreturned equipment charge. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” (speech bubble) icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the section, type or select "Xfinity Support" and type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session. You can see how to send us a direct message here, https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/how-to-direct-messaging-within-the-forum/697ba1e570934d009185c514.
