Final Bill Dispute – Unused Line Overlap and Background Data Verification

I am writing to formally request a billing adjustment and a credit for two months of invalid service charges on my recently canceled Xfinity Mobile line.

Two months ago, I moved to a different carrier. Due to a misunderstanding during the transition, my number was not successfully ported out, and a new number was established at my new carrier instead. Because the number was never pulled, my Xfinity line inadvertently remained open in your billing system.

I have completely moved away from Xfinity network usage for the last 60 days. Front-line customer service has pointed to 0.10 GB of data usage to justify billing me for these two full months. However, 0.10 GB (approximately 100 MB) over a two-month span is technically impossible for active consumer use. It represents nothing more than automated system background "pings" and network tower handshakes from a dormant phone.

I request that an executive resolution specialist review my specific account history to verify that there have been zero active talk minutes used and zero text messages sent during this entire period.

I am fully prepared to clear any valid final balances, but I am requesting that the service charges for these two months of non-usage be wiped out or significantly credited. Thank you for your time and for looking into this matter to help me resolve my final account balance fairly.

Good afternoon user_rc1jcm. We can certainly look into this further for you.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
