Final bill and balance confirmation for closed/inactive account

I canceled my Xfinity service and returned my modem. However, I recently received a text message saying that a bill is due, but I cannot verify whether I owe anything.

When I log in, my account shows a balance of $0.00, but the billing history displays my previous service address. My most recent service address is listed as the primary and default address in my account settings, but that service is marked as inactive, and I cannot access its billing history or final statement.

The online chat keeps directing me to call customer service. However, I am currently permanently outside the US and cannot call the US support number.

How can I contact a live assistant so I can check the final balance associated with my most recent service address and confirm whether I owe anything?

Thank you.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_3mxecq, thank you for reaching out to us through the Xfinity Forums. We bill 30 days in advance, so most likely this is causing you to see more than what you owe. If you would like, I can review your account for you and confirm your final balance.

Please send us a DM with your name and address.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.

2. Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.

3. Click the “Start new conversation” (pencil and paper) icon.

4. In the “To:" line, type “Xfinity Support”.

5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.

6. An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:" line.

7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

8. Press “Enter” to send it.
