Fake Billing dispute on my account March 2026
I have been a loyal Xfinity/Comcast customer for nine years, always enrolled in Auto Pay and never missing a payment. Unfortunately, a routine plan change in February 2026 turned into months of unexplained billing problems.
After accepting a promotion that was supposed to keep my monthly cost approximately the same while upgrading my internet speed, my account suddenly reflected an unexplained $275 dispute, unpaid charges, and equipment fees. From March through October, my Auto Pay amounts varied, yet no one at Xfinity could clearly explain why.
I spent countless hours on the phone, opened at least three investigation tickets that were closed within minutes, visited an Xfinity store five times, and even contacted the corporate office. Despite all of this, no one could provide a clear reconciliation of my account. Instead, I was repeatedly told to pay an unexplained balance of more than $400 or have my service suspended. My service has now been suspended three times.
Most troubling, I was told by someone at the corporate office to review three to five years of my personal bank statements to determine whether I had ever disputed an Xfinity payment. I found that response extraordinarily dismissive and inappropriate given that I had been an Auto Pay customer with a consistent payment history for nine years.
Then, over an 18-day period, I received 54 calls from Xfinity, approximately three per day, and when I answered, the caller repeatedly hung up. TOTAL HARASSMENT admitted by a store manager.
I have done my own investigation and study the bills for hours. Even store managers acknowledge billing used by company is confusing and “they are working on improving the system”.
I am passed the point of disputing erroneous charges or asking Xfinity to explain the charges on my account. Nothing has been done until now. I have only received aggravation upon aggravation. I am asking Xfinity to remove all pending balances and fees, and provide a transparent accounting of what occurred.
After nine years as a loyal customer, I expected professionalism and accountability. Instead, I have spent months trying to resolve billing discrepancies that Xfinity's own representatives have been unable to explain. This has been one of the most frustrating customer-service experiences I have ever encountered.
