ETF When moving to Area with no Service

Hi,

I'm moving in Mid Nov to an area not far from my current home but Xfinity says they do not service.  The rep I just chatted with online tells me the ETF still applies - does this make sense to folks?  Seems weird to me and I'm finding conflicting information so far online.

Hello user_502603, thanks for posting here with this concern. I wanted to confirm that the information that the chat representative shared in regard to the early termination fee (ETF) is correct. The only time an ETF is valid is if you cancel your agreement before the termination date and you do not restart service. This would apply to moving to an area that does not provide Xfinity services. If you have any questions you can refer to the cancellation policy on your service agreement.
