Error message updating payment information

Trying to update autopay payment information: exceeded number of attempts to update payment. Help.

Hello @user_a7i9kp, thanks for reaching out for help with setting up automatic payments. 

If an auto-payment update fails resulting in a lockout, you will need to make a one time payment and wait to update your automatic payment infromation. 

To pay using the Xfinity app:

  1. Download the Xfinity app from Google Play or the Apple App store.
  2. Sign in using your Xfinity ID and password.
  3. Once logged in, tap the Account tab. 
  4. Tap the Your balance due card.
  5. Tap Make a Payment.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Thanks for the information. How long is the lockout? When do I try again?

Normally 48 hours is enough time, but if you make a manual payment you can wait longer before trying again.

I was able to put my card information today. The lockout was lifted. I waited a week to try again. All good.
