Erroneous Billing
Sold our home in 2024 and vacated the premises in mid June of that year. We returned all the equipment and paid the pro rata share of what was owed. We were told repeatedly by Xfinity representatives that we owed nothing and there was a zero remaining balance. 18 months after the fact I received notification that $205 had been placed in collection with the resulting hit on our credit score. We had received no notice from Xfinity that there was still an issue. They failed to reach out to seek a resolution to the issue. This is completely unacceptable. Xfinity has violated every tenent of its supposed "Customer Commitment":
- Respect your time
- Simplify your experience
- Make things right if we fall short
I have wasted time in chats with the Xfinity Assistant which should be renamed the Xfinity Resistance showing an utter disrepect for my time. Trying to resolve this issue is anything but simple and Xfinity has done nothing (other than make empty promises) to make things right.
If this billing error is not fixed to our satisfication, we will have not other option but to seek legal redress for this gross negligence.
