Email about service

Hello,

I received an email from xfinity regarding my account. I haven't used xfinity for a long time and I canceled my internet over 3 years ago. Can you please confirm that there isn't an open account?

user_8awvft Hi there! I hope you are having a good day. I'm sorry that you received this email. Considering you haven't had an account for 3 years I see how this can be concerning to receive an email. It's possible that someone entered the wrong email address when an account was set up or typed their address wrong when submitting a change. Sadly I would not be able to locate an account based on email address alone, I would need to search by your name and address where the services would be set up.
I'm happy to double-check things and to make sure that your old account is still closed so that you know you have nothing to worry about.
Since this requires your personal details I have to ask that you please send us a direct message with your name and the last service address you had so that we can check the system.
It's easy to send us a direct message, here are the steps:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
