[Edited: Soliciting] yet Xfinity will only offer this to new subscribers

Why are the same 1G introductory offers for new subscribers not available to existing customers that have shown loyalty for years?  You really think the service is that sticky that [Edited: Soliciting]. Why make people jump through hoops if they're "Platinum" customers?
