[Edited] COMPANY

Let me start by saying I used to like this company . The WiFi setup was simple and the service was great. Unfortunately, I had to terminate the service since I had 30 days to vacate my apartment and XFINITY did not provide the service in the new unit I moved into. I got a letter 2 months later remaining $168 from me for breaching the contract. I had no choice but to. I never missed any payments and the bill was paid ON TIME. But this company lack decency when I explained the situation. Additionally, they choose to send the debt to collections which demonstrates how AWFUL this company is. Bear in mind! It’s allll about the principle!!!!

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Unfortunately, even though it was due to circumstances, you vacated the contract so you owed early termination fees.  And that is in the contract.  Those fees need to be paid.  Sorry.

If you are under a contract and you need to cancel service, you may be subject to an early termination fee (ETF).

If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and transfer service, you are not charged.
If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and do not sign up for service, then the ETF would apply.
If you move to a non-Comcast serviceable area, then the ETF does apply.
If it is an active duty military deployment, then the ETF will be waived when you send documentation.
If the account holder is deceased, the ETF will be waived upon receiving a death certificate or obituary.
If you downgrade service, then the ETF will not apply.
If you have a Double/Triple Play and remove all but one service, then the ETF will not apply.
