ECHECK/EFT RETURN FEE

Why was I charged $25 for a ECHECK/EFT RETURN FEE. I was never told about this or given any explanation to what it means.

Hello @user_6b0bdb thank you for reaching out through our forum. When a payment comes back as returned a fee is applied to the account. There are a number of reasons why a payment may come back as returned, including but not limited to:

  • Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)
  • Bank account closed or not found
  • Incorrect bank routing number or bank account number
  • A stop payment is issued on the bank account payment
  • Customer advises not authorized

Do you believe this fee was applied in error?

@XfinityStephanieT Yes I believe it was an error as I received no notification about any of that occurring and none of that has happened to my knowledge

@user_6b0bdb Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9 for an example.
