Early termination fee
I have moved and terminated my contract, I understand normally a fee would be assessed if there is xfinity and I don't resign up with xfinity. However I moved in with somebody who already has xfinity so there is no way for me to add xfinity. Should I still be charged an early termination fee? This is not to mention I have been a customer for twenty years. This just feels so wrong.

Greetings, @user_jklj02! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to transfer service to your new address, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
Under normal circumstances, if your account was closed during an active agreement period, you will automatically be charged an Early Termination Fee (ETF) for any months remaining in your agreement. There are some exceptions to this, however, depending on the circumstances of your move. If you were enrolled in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) or your move was due to military service or deployment, ETFs can usually be waived.
If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.

When I spoke to customer service they refused to give me the credit. This is beyond my control. I cannot get another xfinity account if I wanted to because it is already here at this house. Is there anything else you can do to help? Please...
