Duplicate Xfinity Account

I created my Xfinity account back in June of 2025. When I created my account the system decided to be super helpful and switched the address to be 1 digit off (2030 vs 2020). That same day, I got on the phone with customer service to make sure that my account switched back to the correct address. The sercvice rep said she switched my account over to be the correct address, but what she actually did was creat a second account and left the original (wrong address) account active. So a few months go by until I finally realize I am being charged twice each month due to this account. After contacting customer service again, the incorrect address account was cancelled and I was told that a refund would be issued. Fast forward a week, and I begin to recieve emails and mail requesting that I return my equipment back to Xfinity for this account, which was odd considering the account was cancelled because I do not live at that address. After getting back in touch with customer support I was assured that it would be taken care of and I had nothing to worry about. Sure enough I had something to be worried about. Today I was billed for unreturned equipment and still have not been refunded for the several months that I was being billed for the bad account.

Long story short, Xfinity created an account for an address that I do not live at. The account was cancelled and a refund was supposed to be issued. Instead of issuing a refund, Xfinity decided to charge me for equipment delivired to an address that I do not live at, crazy right!

What I would like is for Xfinity to refund me for the unreturned equipment fee and for the several months where the fake account was active, because I cannot return equipment for an account that was created for an inccorect address. This has made me extemely dissapointed with Xfinity and would have a very hard time reccomeneding them to anyone that asks.

I completely understand why this would be extremely frustrating. I will be more than happy to help with your issues. To begin, would you mind sending me your name and the address to your account in a Direct message?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
