Downgrade to Internet Only

Hi, I currently have the Xfinity triple play. I need to start saving money so I need to downgrade to Internet only. Can someone assist? I see current deals for Xfinity Internet only in my area which aren’t too bad.  If xfinity won’t negotiate, frontier has a Internet deal for 49.99 including the modem fee in the price.

Thanks I will be in contact. By any chance will I get a flex device for going Internet only?

Great question! As an Internet only customer, you now have the option for our Xfinity Flex Streaming device. It is included as a benefit to your service. You can learn all about Xfinity Flex, by visiting the following web address. https://www.xfinity.com/learn/flex

You get the first box at no charge, and each additional Flex box is $5.00 per month. It's great for customers who like to use Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock!

Sorry one more question. When I downgrade to Internet only will they have to such my Internet down? I am assuming no, since I really only want the cable/voice portion gone.

Repackaging your services is normally a seamless process. If you are changing internet speed tiers, your modem will need to restart for a boot-file update. It only takes a few minutes to update, and you will be back online in no time. When you remove Xfinity Home Phone Services, it does take a few days for the service to be provisioned off your account. However, you will not incur any internet service interruption during this time.

Sorry a couple more. Can I keep the phone possibly? Also would I be able to negotiate a new promo rate?

No worries, this is great information for our Community as well! You can keep Xfinity Home Phone Service along with an Xfinity Internet plan. We do have bundles available, with possible promotional rates in most areas. We would have to review what is available for your particular area.

Thanks! I did a little homework and put the unit next to me that doesn’t have Xfinity to see what promo rates exist. There are a few.
