Done with Xfinity - Flex box charge

I’ve been a customer of Comcast/Xfinity for 20 years on and off depending on my living situation. Recently moved in with someone and had to disconnect service at my old residence. I come to find out that they are charging me for unreturned equipment - a flex streaming box that they sent me and I never used or even opened. The customer service rep never told me that this equipment had to be returned when I was disconnecting. I’m frustrated that I’m being charged for something I never used/opened, never asked for in the first place, and no one told me I had to return. When my circumstances change and I’m looking at ISPs again, Xfinity will be only be a company I do business with as a last resort.

user_v0e4x2 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. This definitely isn't the experience we want for such a loyal customer! We understand the frustration if we dropped the ball on letting you know about the equipment that needed to be returned. The good news is that you can still return that Flex box and not be charged for it.

We have partnered with UPS to make returning your equipment simple, easy and awesome. You can visit: comca.st/3som7ob to print a prepaid return label, once the equipment is packaged you can call UPS to schedule an at home pick up, though there will be a charge for that. Additionally, you can drop the equipment off at your local UPS store location, they can package the equipment and ship it back for free or drop by your local service center and our amazing representatives can help return it.
