Does a set price for service exist with Xfinity?
I've been with Comcast for about 15 years. Every year I've had to do the dog and pony show where I have to sign up for their latest promotion for 6 months or a year. 6 months ago I called and asked for a non-promotional rate, one that wouldn't change similar to what I get with my cell phone company. As long as I don't change my plan, I keep paying the same rate. They said no problem, got me all setup and I thought I was set. It's now 6 months later and my bill just went up by $25! The latest agent confirmed I was on a 6 month promotion and that Comcast does not offer non-promotional rates!
I'm tired of having to play the annual game with Comcast, anyone have better luck locking down their rates with Comcast?

You can find Comcast's standard rates here:
https://www.xfinity.com/support/rate-card/
You don't need to call anyone to get them as that's what you should get after your promotion expires.

Even on a non-promotional no contract plan you're going to see increases, especially in fees, and more especially if you have cable. If that plan increases, chances are you're going to see that increase reflected in your bill. In a promotional contract plan the price of your services shouldn't change during the contract, unless you have something special that is there for 3 or 6 months or 1 year; what will change, however, will be your fees and sometimes taxes.
Cable and internet are nothing like your cell phone service. Your cable charges are based on what the networks ask Comcast to pay to transmit them to you, and those fees are based on a ton of variables, starting with the cost of a shows production and what the network has to pay for it. With internet you have innovations and infrastructure and employees that maintain that service. Time marches on and costs rise. Customers don't like it because it affects their wallets but for quality services there is a price.

I'm referring to internet only. I don't see why Comcast would be any different than a cellular company (when referring to internet service). They also provide internet and have the same government fees and regulations that other ISPs have to pay and charge. I understand what you're saying with regards to the occasional increase in fees and taxes. I've gotten that on my cellular bill maybe every 3 to 5 years and it's perhaps no more than a few dollars. However that's not what Comcast is doing. We enjoyed having unlimited internet, now we have to pay an additional $50 for something we used to have. Some of the plans we used to be on, are no longer available and have been rebranded to something else and now costs an additional $10 plus another $15 for the new modem that you need to rent because if you use your own you get charged an additional $35 for your service. Meanwhile the speeds are pretty much the same, but the bill just goes up and not just a few bucks, but $25-$50. The only innovation I see from Comcast is how to squeeze more $ out of their customers.
Meanwhile loyalty or incentive programs for long term customers? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
