Dispute debt / charge

I’m trying to set up new service. I looked at my account and it says I have a past due bill. I know where this came from. So years ago I had moved and canceled my service with that address and you guys kept billing me for service that I was not using and couldn’t use because I was no longer at the address. I called and it is on recording that I had a canceled with a customer service rep but he kept giving me the the run around saying he was going to cancel and to call back in an hour to make sure it was done. I’m assuming now it was never done and you guys kept billing me. Hence the unpaid bill. I would like to dispute this debt so I can start my service now at a new address. I have been with xfinity in years that account that you guys were charging was from years ago.

@user_kv0bve Hello, thanks for posting and sharing your experience. We know relying on quality service is important, and we have the best. Being able to get started easily is important, and we understand that. It is essential to connect with friends and family online, so I totally get the need. Charges can be disputed within four months of the billing statement. If it's beyond that, it may have been written off to a collection agency. We can check the balance. If it's still due with us, it can be paid directly for the quickest resolution. That will allow you to start service asap. Send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the message icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message

HEllo,

I didn't find direct message in the page. So sharing my issue in here.  I was charged $307.61 for the month of July. i can understand $45 was for the regular charges while $259.85 is for the international service. This charge doesn't make sense. I neeed help to look after this charge earliest possible.

Thanks!

I tried to contact xfinity support and got an email back saying the address doesn’t receive email. Every time i try to contact their support - same message -no reply email address.

been trying to get away from xfinity since September - cant find anyone to help me & no way to see my bill since I’m unable to access that part of my account - “not authorized” when I’m the primary acct holder.
They refused to send my husbands SIM card cuz it wasn’t the same WIFI address but kept charging for 2nd line for months - still charging probably -

we moved to an area where they service the cell phone svc but not wi-fi so they refused to send PHONE SIM  card cuz it wasn’t the first address with wifi - WHAT??

looking for a phone # to talk to someone - but those take a few hours at least.
