Dispute a charge
Can someone please tell me how to submit a billing dispute? I was charged for an in-home service, but the in-home service was to fix Xfinity's service problem. I self installed the Xfinity's router in the beginning. The internet worked for a few days then stopped working. When I scheduled the in-person troubleshoot, it was not mentioned to me that the service would be charged. The technician visit identified the installed router as faulty and then exchanged it with a new router for me. I should not be charged for Xfinity's issue. I reviewed the generic response from Xfinity on this forum but cannot locate the "Direct Message" option for me even after I signed in on this forum. Kindly to let me know how to file a dispute on billing.

Thanks for reaching out to us on our community forums @user_9i3roh! I can understand why you’re frustrated, especially if the internet stopped working after a few days and the technician found that the router needed to be replaced. This fee would have been mentioned in the order summary sent while services were being ordered.
Please be reminded that sending unsolicited Direct Messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Community Forum, is a violation of Forum Guidelines. We ask that you wait for an Official Employee to invite you to send a direct message.
Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? We’d love to take a further look at the account. To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
