Direct deposit to wrong account

I started working for Comcast in August of 2022 for a brief stint when I was working there I had a Chase account that is now closed. I recently started back working for Comcast August 11 2025 and my first paycheck was sent to the account that closed even though I changed my personal information the first day. I contacted hr they said I had to wait for the bank to return the money that’s being going on since the 26th of August the bank returned the money on the 29th of august and it’s September 16 today and Comcast still can’t locate is I have a statement from Chase showing that the money was returned
