Device credits and being charged for devices

When I signed up for me new Xfinity mobile service I ordered two new phones. a motorola edge and a moto stylus. At the time time it said the phones would be free of charge with a 36-month device credit. But not I'm seeing on my bill and my first statement that I'm being charged monthly device fees?

Greetings, user_xjwpqx! Thank you so much for choosing Xfinity and being part of our Forums' community. We’re really glad you’re here! That’s a great question. Here’s how it works: the device payment plan lets you spread the cost of your phone across monthly installments. With a promotion, you’ll receive monthly credits that offset those payments, making the device effectively free over the term. These credits usually start after a billing cycle or two, and don’t worry they’re automatically backdated to cover any prior month(s). Please let me know if this information was helpful.

So I would likely see them on the 2nd or 3rd bill and would receive credits on that bill for the first two payments made on those two devices?
