Debt collector calling for cleared bill

I’ve been getting calls from debt collector saying I owe xfinity money but I already moved from the address they provided.

more so, I’ve called xfinity and the customer service said that my old account was ALL CLEAR and I shouldn’t be getting calls from debt collector.

I expect xfinity to handle it now and it doesn’t impact my credit score.

Were you in a contract at the time you moved?  And did you leave a forwarding address?  If you were in a contract you probably paid your "final" bill - up to that time - but there would be early termination fees for breaking the contract early.  Did you get a snail mail from Comcast after you moved?  It may have been the bill for early termination fees.  Of course, all of this would only pertain to you cancelling your service early while in a contract.
