Debt Collection

I would like some assistance with a bill that was sent to collections. It was added to my credit and when I reached out to the collection agency they stated they not longer had the account and it was returned to Comcast. Well I contacted Comcast and the agent I spoke to seemed confused and couldn’t help. He gave me a number to call which was a whole other collection agency which did not have the debt. I would like to pay the debt and have it removed from my credit. How do I contact your collections department?

Hi there and welcome to Comcast @user_vb9s11. Thank you so much for reaching out to us here on our Community Forums page, regarding your collection concerns. You are in the right place and we are happy to assist you today. Now normally once a bill gets sent over to a collection agency, you would need to talk to that agency and take care of the balance with them.

As a follow up…..I spoke a rep in executive solutions. She confirmed repeatedly over the phone that the debt would be removed from my credit report completely once paid. I asked for the confirmation in writing. Instead she sent over a complete different statement which said the debt would be reported as “Satisfied Charge Off” and remain on my credit for up to 7 years. This was not the conversation I had. Who else can I speak with?
