Debt collection notice from Sequium Asset Solutions, LLC for account closed well over one year ago (with $0 balance)

I recently received a debt collection notice from Sequium Asset Solutions, LLC for $43.87 on an account I closed well over a year ago (with a $0 balance). I don't understand 1) how there could be a debt on an account that was 100% paid off 2) how it would even be possible to have a debt, seeing as my credit card is set up for autobill (and I still use Xfinity...). I also never received any prior notice that I owe anything (e.g., no electronic or paper bill). Is this a scam?!

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

user_idlxvr Thanks for posting on our Forums. We can look into the legitimacy of the notice you've received and double check any previous accounts as well. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and address.

Ensure you are logged in

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
    • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
    • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
