Data limit on current plan

Yesterday I upgraded to the gigabit plan specifically to get unlimited data usage.  My plan details show nothing about unlimited data and when I view my usage it still shows that I have a 1229GB limit on my plan.  Please let me know what my current plan limit is as when I added the 1Gb plan to my cart yesterday it showed unlimited data.

Hi, @mikesc3. Thank you for reaching out for assistance.  I know how important it is to have the unlimited data on the account and I'm happy to double-check. Can you please click the Direct Messaging icon at the top right of the page, click on the pen and pad icon and enter Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat and provide us with your first and last name and address so we may further assist you.

Despite what some Comcast reps will tell you, Gigabit service does NOT automatically include unlimited data. Please see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/data-usage-plan.

@BruceW Thank you for your response, Bruce.  The Comcast website showed unlimited data for this plan, I posted a screenshot of the gigabit plan details below.

This may have been their Xfi plan but it asked me if I needed Comcast equipment, which I did not, and it allowed the purchase without notifying me that the plan no longer included unlimited data if I did not lease the Xfi equipment at additional cost.  Originally I just wanted more data but the unlimited data add on to a lower bandwidth plans were not available in my area according to the Comcast website.  After I chatted with a rep, I was able to get the 200Mbps plan with unlimited data add on.  So this is why placing an order is so confusing.  I wish the ordering process was more a la carte, where I can choose a speed, choose equipment and choose the monthly data cap (or unlimited, of course).  As it is, there is only 1.2TB or unlimited and unlimited is not offered in many areas, including mine.  Comcast is losing a business opportunity IMO, by not offering 2.5TB, 5TB plans, for example.  Maybe this is to their advantage since an overage will result in a penalty charge, but if customers sign up for more data for an additional charge, Comcast gets that payment every month instead of a penalty payment here and there.  As 4K streaming becomes more ubiquitous, many customers will struggle to stay below 1.2TB/mo.

In May 2022 I went over my data limit but was NOT charged extra as I'm allowed to exceed the limit "Once every twelve months"

It is now May 2023. Am I permitted to exceed the limit in May 2023 without paying extra?

Hi there, @sfbayarea1, I understand how important it is to ensure you understand how the 1.2 Terabytes Data Plan is measured. If you don't exceed 1.2TB more than once in a 12-month period, you'll receive another courtesy month applicable during the following 12-month period. However, if you use more than 1.2TB two times in a 12-month period, no more courtesy months will be given. You can also learn more here

So I need to wait until below message changes? I used the courtesy month in May 2022 - Will my next courtesy month be availabe in June 2023?

"You have used your 1 courtesy month to exceed 1229GB of usage without charge.

You would only receive another courtesy month after you have gone 12 months without going over the data plan. If you have gone over it, we'd be happy to explore options with you to add unlimited data. Please send me a DM with your name and full address by doing the following:

Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see an icon at the top right of your page.
From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type 'Xfinity Support'.
Type your message in the text area that appears at the bottom of the window and hit enter to send. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.
