Consistently Receiving my paper /mailed bill 3 days before it is due?

Long time customer.  We are elderly people and receive a  paper mailed bill.

We consistently get the bill in the mail a few days before it is due.   We are outside of Boston, and mail a check to Philadelphia.   We just received our bill today, October 14.  It is due the 18th.

This happens every single month.  The bill date was October 4th, so it took 10 days to reach our mailbox.

Note: There is nothing wrong with the mail up here, we get all other bills in a timely fashion.

This has nothing to do with changing the due date, it has to do with Xfinity getting our bill to us in a reasonable time before it is due, no matter the due date.

What is going on here?  This is absurd.

Xfinity, please inform, this is getting worse by the month.

@ben345 Hello, thanks for the post! Standard mail time is 7-10 business days, so there could be a delay with the postal service. Did you notice a postmark date?

There was no postmark. There never is.  So with your logic a bill dated October 4 on the bill,  may take up to October 14 to get to me.  That leaves 4 days to get  my payment from Boston to Philadelphia on the due date. This is not acceptable.

As per my original post. There is no mail delay in the Boston Northeast corridor. None.   We got all other monthly bills in a timely fashion.  Getting the Xfinity bill at the last minute has been going on for years.   I should have at least 10 days upon receipt of my bill,  to mail my check to you.

While you get a paper billing statement each month you also will see the same statement under My Account each month.  Given the date you posted today, you should probably check online under My Account.  If you have a printer you can print out the coupon and mail it along with your check.  And don't forget to put your account number on your check!  This way you should be able to send in your check well before that date due.

We are elderly people that do not have smart phones or a printer.

Do you think we could just mail the check? without a coupon? From now on?

That's a great question, all our billing statements are system automatically sent out, so I am sorry we have no way of reprinting you one; however, you can visit anyone of our awesome Comcast Stores and make a payment at a payment kiosk or if you log into your XFINITY My Account App you can locate the "PayNearMe" feature where you can make a payment to 7-Eleven, Ace Cash Express, CVS Pharmacy, or Family Dollar - a total of more than 25,000 locations throughout the country. (Note: There is a fee to make payment at any payment location). Did you have any other questions or concerns we can assist you with at this time?

Short of doing what @XfinityXavier mentioned, if that isn't really doable for you, you can always write out your check, including the account number, then take a piece of paper and write down when the bill is due as shown on the billing statement online, and also include your account number on that.  Then fill out your envelope and put both the check and the piece of paper inside, seal it, and mail it.  When you DO finally get your billing statement, hang on to the coupon for the next month, and then you can cross out the old due date and write in the new due date when you look up your statement online.  You will probably need to write down on a calendar the date that is shown on that statement so that you don't forget to check the statement online.

A question for you.  Are you living in a Seniors complex by any chance?

We live in our house of 60 years in a normal residential neighborhood.  Why would that matter? We do not experience any mail problems with any other monthly bill.

Also if payment is sent in a plain envelope to the payment address in Philadelphia,  is Comcast/Xfinity bound by law to credit the payment on the day they receive it?

And Xavier above must be a Millennial because those suggestions are absurd for elderly people.
