Connect more internet upgrade option issue

Hello, I was looking a the possibility of upgrading my internet speed. One of the options on "Build your own" saying I can save $20 a on my current internet speed. However once I go to complete the request it says I need to turn in the flex box that was sent to us. Is that really the case. I didn't think we were being charged for that box?
