Collections deletion from Credit Report
I had a health scare and was hospitalized for a month. I can provide documentation by contacting the hospital. I did not receive communication from Xfinity during this time as I relocated shortly after. My account was on autopay so I was not aware I owed money. This has significantly negatively affected my credit score where I am unable to get approved for an apartment and I fear I will be homeless. I found out recently it went to collections by contacting a third-party agency and paid the account in full. I am a loyal Xfinity customer. Is there anyway this can be deleted from my account? It is significantly affecting my life and because of my health issues I was unable to realize that my account was past due.

Hello! Thank You for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support, here on the Community Forum. I am super sorry to read of your health issues, and I hope that you are well. Once a charged off account is paid, either directly to Comcast/Xfinity or to the collection agency, the associated credit report credit will be updated as "Paid in Full" within 90 days. The account will remain on the credit report as "Satisfied Charged Off". We do not have an option to remove the reporting.
I hope this helps.
