Collections and New Service

Hello! I am hoping you can help me. I just applied for new services as I am moving but did not realize I have a collections for an unpaid amount. I must have missed the last bill or something. But I want to get new services at my new apartment. If I pay the collections will it remove from my credit report? Also, if I pay the collections can I get new services? Or will I never be able to get services again now? Please help. The new router was already sent to me for my new apartment, but I can not use due to this issue. Thank you.

user_f1z9p8 Good morning! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to our Community Forums Team for assistance with getting your services connected, and your payment resolved. I can see the importance in resolving this as quickly as possible. The quickest way is usually to pay Comcast/Xfinity directly first, and then we can send the information to the collections that payment has been received. This way we don't have to wait for payment information to be received. I'm happy to help you get this ironed out, so we can get you services ASAP. To begin, can you please send a Direct Message with your name, the current service address, and the old service address?

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
