Collection reported without any notice after two service transfers with confirmed zero balance
I need this escalated. Comcast placed a collection on my credit report for a balance I do not owe, and I was never notified.
I was a continuous Comcast customer at three Philadelphia addresses. I returned all equipment when leaving the first one and used my own equipment after that. Comcast transferred my service to the second address, then to the third. Each time I asked whether anything was owed, and each time I was told my account was in good standing with a zero balance.
After those transfers, Comcast approved me for Xfinity Mobile and three additional lines.
I received no letter, no email, no text, and no phone call about any balance. I found out when I saw the collection on my credit report and my score dropped 39 points.
The collection agency told me all notices were sent to my first address — the one Comcast itself transferred me away from, while Comcast was billing me at my current address.
I am requesting escalation and a full review of the account history across all three addresses, including the balance checks performed at each transfer and at the mobile line approvals.
I am happy to provide account details by private message.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
